Hello I my upper leg (femur area) is quite achy about 5 inch above my knee to the top - where my hips are don't seem to have any pain - the ache is on the outer side of my leg - it doesn't ache when I walk - it does ache if I sit for a while and if I lay on it over night
Hi. This is a bit classical neuralgia most probably due to compression of lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh which, which is enhanced in a particular posture only. I would advise to consult a Neurosurgeon to have you examined clinically and then the Scans if required. Do you have any other associated symptoms like pain in lower abdomen on the same side?
