Why Does The Fever Relapses After Four Hours Of Giving Crocin Syrup?

null Need suggestion please.
My 1 year old daughter has fever since 2 days without any other symptom.
Our doctor said it's Viral Fever and had prescribed Crocin every 6 hours and Cetrizine twice daily.
But the fever relapses after 3-4 hours of dose of Crocin and goes as high as 102. Though it does return to normal within half hour of giving Crocin.
Is this normal in Viral Fever. Are there any tests that should be run. Please suggest

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
In spite of giving crocin if the fever does not subside, the dose has to be verified.
The dose is 15 mg/kg body weight given as often as 4-6 hourly.
In addition sponging can be done repeatedly if the fever is high.
Still the fever does not subside better revise the diagnosis consulting a pediatrician.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
