Why Doesn T The Report Say That I Don T Have A Cervix After A Hysterectomy?

Hello I am so confused .. I was told by my gynacologist several years ago that I had a partial hysterectomy and in only in the last few years my family doctor says now it was a total hyseterectomy so I have the report and no where on the report does it say i don t have a cervix, it does mention that i have ovaries and fallopian tubes tied and uterus was removed but it doesn t say anything about cervix.. what should i do .. they told me my uterus was sent away because was extremely enlarged, it came back benign. Now I don t know what to do .. should I be worried that I was getting pap tests before and now I have a doctor who tells me I don t need them any more?? What do i do?

hi,
if your scan do not show cervix and you still feel you have it, you can get it checked by a gynecologist.
A colposcopy will help in identifying cervical lips, transvaginally. if it remains, you need annual pap tests routinely.
hope this helped.
