Why Has Dianne 35D No Effect On Acne?
Hi I have been taking the contraceptive/acne pill Dianne35-D for about three years now. It was first prescribed to be for for hormonal acne and it improved greatly. However, in the last 6 months I have been having constant breakouts despite being on the pill. I have getting the cystic acne as well. Why isn t the Dianne 35 D working on my acne anymore?

Diane 35 contains ethinyl estradiol and cyperoterone acetate. Cyperoterone acetate is a progestational agent which also has some androgenetic activity. Using a combination containing either drosperinone or norgestimate which have little or no androgenetic activity instead of cyperterone can be a solution to the current problem.
I would advice that you visit your dermatologist or gynecologist for the desired change
