Why Is My Left Eyelid Puffed And Become Red After Getting Punched On My Forehead ?
Hi, My kid punched me in my forehead (between temple and center on left side)last night. Today my left eyelid is puffed and all red ( a bit dark). She I see a doc. or is this normal for being punched around the eye? Thanks for your time.

Hello.
As far as the eyelid being puffed and all red with bits of dark discoloration, this is in response to the bleeding within the tissue layers just lying underneath the skin of the eyelid. If your vision with the left eye is not compromised other than due to obliertation due to the swelling, then there is no need to see the doctor. However if this is the case,then you should consult with your physician. You can take over the counter antiinflammatory medication and apply cold compress to the left eye. This swelling should subside within a weeks time with mild injuries. Hope this will help. Regards.

red eye indicates blood leake which might b due to bone bleeding after a fracture or might b simple soft tisue trauma too......need to examine clinically.........do u have pain on presure aplication over that area?if yes then it is a bone fracture.......if no,then it l reduce within 7 to 10 days with anti inflamatory and analgesics.........
