Why Is The Broken Finger That Was Wrapped In A Splint Turned Dark ?
Last two weeks i broke my finger and went to see a medical assitant (MA) in a hospital..the MA put a splint along the broken finger then wrap it..today..i when back to see the MA and he opened the wraped n my broken finger become darken..he told me that he did some mistake and need me to consult a doctor..my question is..does my broken finger cannot be safe? Doest it require a surgery to remove my finger?
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your worry, the dark finger is the indication of blood supply disturbances, it could be due to the injury and not because of splint, the over all looks of the finer has great matter, this could give the clinical condition judgement, most of the time such condition comes around, and seldom needs any surgical intervention, we have to wait for few days, but no need to worry this will come around for sure, have word with orthopaedic surgeon, and take care, bye.
