Why Is There Sharp Pain On Both Sides Of My Boyfriends Lower Abdomen ?
My boyfriend is experiencing sharp pain on both sides of his lower abdomen . His mouth is also watering. The pain is pretty consistent but sometimes dulls. He s eaten some crackers to help but I don t think its doing any good. The pain arised around 2am and we went to bed around 3 and he woke up from the pain around 6am. Should we go to a hospital?

this looks like symptoms of heartburn and hyperacidity,better to be evaluated and do some blood test to confirm it,take plenty of water efore meal and in betwen the meal ,milk at bed time

Hello, welcome to HCM,
You have bilateral abdominal pain. You must keep an eye on it for the next 24-48hrs as to how it goes. If it gets any worse or if you start having vomiting or any daiarrhoea or pain in passing urine, you must consult a doctor to have it examined.. Manwhile, sips of fluids will keep you going. Paracetamol is ok to use till diagnosed.

Bilateral abdominal pain can be presented with Bil Ureteric stone(remote possibility),colitis,loaded colon due to constipation,Muscle strain etc.At present with no other symtoms associated with these,he can take symptomatic treatment by an antispasmodic like cyclopam, but if the ailment does not resolve he needs to see a doctor who can examine him and plan a proper treatment for him.
