Why There Is Recurrence Of Fever After Every 8 Hours And What Kind Of Blood Test Should We Undergo ?

My daughter 5 yrs old, have been having fever for almost 4 days continously. we have giving her diclofenac sodium for fever and 2nd line antibotic zinnat suspension( cefuroxime axetil). the fever comes back after 8hrs. Prior to this last week she has bad cough for almost a week. Her appetite is ok,taking solid food and no vomiting. If we wish to run blood test to check for any other cause of fever, what kind of blood test should we require. hope you can asist , thanks

Hi welcome to H.C.M.Forum. your daughter had fever and relieved by zinnat syp. she dont need any tests now . but if you want to know the general health condition of the baby you can get the tests done.
they are TC, DC, ESR, AEC, QBC, WIDAL, HB, PLATELET COUNT. ect. but under the supervision of a doctor.
besides you give her cereals, grean leafy vegetables, fruits,and juices to boost up immunity. dont worry she will be fine.

hi welcome to hcm.see for fever why you give such a strong syp simple paracetamol sus is enough for her.since she had these complaints since 4days and before that had cold and cough so blood test gives you proper idea about which kind of fever she had? blood test like CBC,MP,S.WIDAL,URINE ROUTINE MICRO.
BUT before that once pediatric doc opinion for physical examination is necessary.
