Why Was My Neck And Throat Also Scanned When Scanning My Thyroid?

I had a thyroid ultrasound today. I noticed when i left the room that the last picture on the screen was of a 'left neck node'. She scanned my thyroid as well as my neck and throat. The ordered test was for a thyroid scan. Does this mean she found other areas of concern in my neck?

During the thyroid scan its mandatory to see the adjacent structures, Look for any lymph nodal enlargement ( as inflammation of the thyroid gland, infections gives enlarged lymph nodes), at the same time if there are nodules, mass lesions - its mandatory to see its extensions and relation to the adjacent structures.

During one will always check for lymph nodes, vessels, muscular structures and there condition. Its not possible to see in to throat - as throat contains air and in presence of air ultrasound can't see any thing.
