Why Would Taking Microgynon And Cerazette Cause Migraine?
Hi, my daughter started taking the microgynon pill about 4 months ago then suffered a migraine attack with a really bad head ache and double vision and numbess in her arm. The doctor advised her to stop taking it which she did and had a break from the pill for about 2 months with no migraine attacks. About a month ago she started taking the cerazette pill, then after about 19 days she suffered another migraine, she has continued taking cerazette and had another migraine attack yesterday. The doctor said that cerazette cannot cause migraines but it seems weird she has only had migraines since taking the pill. What I wanted to find out is does this pill cause migraines? Thanks
The oral contraceptive pills can cause headaches as well as migraine attacks in patients with pre existing migraines. There is a possibility of migraine with the mentioned pill. Please consult the treating doctor and discuss regarding the other available methods of contraceptive.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
