Will I Pill Be Effective After Taking FAS And Candid Cream?

I had been diagnosed with vaginal infection and doctor prescribed FAS kit and candid cream and pill. However I took ipill (emergency contraceptive) approximately 4 hours before taking the FAS kit medicine and inserting the candid pill into my vagina. I want to know if ipill will still be effective.

Hello,

I understand your concern. There is a known interaction between antifungal medications (i.e. Candida cream and FAS) and the ipill, so there is a chance the potency of the contraceptive pill you took might be affected by the candida medication. You might want to take another pill, 24 hours after the first one, and hold off on taking your candida medication for a day or two, just to be on the safe side. I also recommend you see your doctor as soon as you can.
I hope this helps.

Wishing you all the best.
