Will Percocet Provide Better Arthritis Pain Relief Than Vicodin?

Will Percocet offer me better arthritis pain relief than Vicodin? I have been taking Vicodin, two tablets in the morning (7.5/325 each) and sometimes another one tablet in the afternoon. However, I am starting to feel less of an affect after being on this regimen for two months while I await hip replacement surgery.

Vicodin is hyrocodone while Percocet is Oxycodone; both of these medications contain actometaphine. Percotet is considered to be about 5 times stronger than Vicodin(for example 10mg of Hydrocodone (Vicodin) is equivalent to 5mg of Oxycodone (Percotet)). This supports the fact of a better pain relief by taking Percotet instead of Vicodin. Although, when taking this drugs you should always consider that Percocet is a schedule 2 controlled substance while Vicodin is schedule 3 (FDA classification) meaning that Percotet is more addictive than Vicodine.
