Will Baby Aspirin Cause Any Harm During Removal Of Scarred Tissue And Fibroid From A Hysterectomy?

hello my name is Michele and I am having surgery on Monday to have scarred tissue and fybroides removed from a hysterectomy that I had about 10 years ago I have this surgery almost every year but since july I have been on 81 milligrams of baby aspirin 3 times a day and I forgot to stop taking it what should I do

This decision will be up to the anesthesiologist. Usually we recommend that you stop aspirin two weeks or so before surgery. However, baby aspirin alone is a very small dose and is unlikely to cause bleeding during surgery. However, some doctors will be cautious and not do surgery anyway in a situation like yours. You need to call your surgeon and ask him/her if they will operate even though you just stopped the aspirin.
