Hello,

It is difficult to say whether the effectiveness of the i-pill will be affected by digestive problems as there is not enough information about the nature and severity of the digestive problems your girlfriend is experiencing. However, in general, digestive problems are not likely to affect the effectiveness of the i-pill.

The i-pill is most effective when taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex, ideally within 12 hours. Since you have given the i-pill to your girlfriend within 1 hour after having sex, the chances of pregnancy are significantly reduced, so I don't think you should get worried.

It's also worth noting that your girlfriend's thyroid problem and medication may affect the effectiveness of the i-pill. Therefore, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional to discuss the best course of action and to ensure that your girlfriend is receiving appropriate medical care for her thyroid problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
