I Was A patient of synovial cell sarcoma. It was in my right inguinal region. I received Radiation from KIRAN (Karachi Institute of radiotherapy and nuclear medicine.) Before that Doctors said to me that there is very much risk of infertility. Because that area is very near to my testis. but it would be revers-able. My Question is Which Doctor Is helpful to me

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this irradiation. It is difficult to tell whether this would cause infertility or not without an idea of how much intensity was used, how many sessions and what the controls after that have been. For now, i will like that you get a semen analysis that would tell whether the sperm production, structure and movements are normal. This would be helpful in evaluating the effects of this radiation and talking about a possible infertility or not. Have you noticed any decrease in the size of your testes?

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be. Thanks for using our services.
