Will Skin Gratf Reduce The Risk Of Capsular Contraction When Suffering From DCIS?
My wife has recurrent DCIS, she has previously undergone radiation therapy post wire-guided excision of 1.4 cm area of DCIS . If she has the suggested mastectomy, is it possible to have a skin-graft of non-irradiated skin with a follow-up with a sub-pectoral expander. Would this possibly mean reducing the risk or extremity of capsular contraction or is this only improved with an LD flap?
