Will Taking Regestrone Tablet Cause Any Harm To The Baby At 6 Weeks Pregnancy?

hello doctor. i had regestrone 5mg tablet on 12th october to postpone my period. (just one tablet). i found yesterday that i am 6 weeks pregnant. i did not plan for the pregnancy and it was unexpected.

will the regestrone tablet taken affect the baby?

Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Please do not worry at all.
A single tablet of Regestrone will not harm your baby at all.
Please continue the pregnancy without stress.
In any case, please continue taking folic acid 5 mg. per day daily throughout the pregnancy.
Regestrone is not supposed to be taken during pregnancy, but one tablet hardly matters.
Just have an early pregnancy scan at 6 weeks to confirm cardiac activity.
All should be well as long as you avoid taking any other medications without consulting your doctor.
