Will The Pain In Ligament After Excessive Running Heal Gradually?
I experienced a tear in my spring ligament from running. I was training for a marathon, which is now 7 weeks out. I've been unable to run for 2 weeks now, and tried yesterday and there was still pain. How long can I expect before I will be able to resume running? Does the pain get progressively better or stay the same until the day when the tear completely heals, I will have no pain?

Hello, Thanks for your query. The acronym RICE stands for rest, ice, compression, and elevation -- the four basic elements of immediate treatment for an injured foot. If you do nothing, you will end up with a sprain that can take weeks or months to heal properly. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
