Will The Split Looking Scar Heal Caused By Mole Removal?

Hi, I had a mole removed from my inner cheek 8 weeks ago. The incision is a 1/2 inch long. Most of it is healing fine-almost unnoticeable, but about 1/8th of in inch at the bottom of the scar is a red split in the incision. I cannot cover it with makeup, because it still shows the split. Around the area are also some red marks, Is it normal for part of the scar to look split? Will this heal?
