Will The Stints On The Artery Shorten The Life Time?

I had a heart attack last month. One of my arterys was 99% blocked. the stint this artery and its looking like I have one other that may need to be stint. There was no damage to my heart. My question is......by having stints artery work done will this shorten my life?

Stenting for the Coronary arteries is the usual treatment for stenosed arteries. They dont shorten
life. You should continue the medicines called anti platelets for as long as they advice you to. This will keep the stent patent and you should be fine. Take care and keep up your regular checks with the Cardiologist.
