Will Tums Antacid Effect The Result Of Glucose Test?
Hi, I am 29 weeks pregnant with twins and in a few hours I will be going on in to take my 3 hour glucose test. Problem is right now I can t sleep because of the heartburn I m experiencing, normally I take tums and it helps it right away. Do you think taking tums will affect the results of my glucose test?

Tums contains calcium carbonate which works as antacid.
It is not known to interfere with glucose absorption or its metabolism. So it will not affect the result of your 3 hour glucose test. You can go ahead and take the test.
