Wisdom Teeth Removed, Pain From Jaw Bone To Ear. Ibuprofen Not Effective. Suggestions?

I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed 10 days ago. The top ones were already in and dont hurt at all. Both bottom ones were boney impacted and the right was much worse then the other. Now i had really bad pain from my jaw bone to my ear. i do not have any pain medication left and the ibuprofen is not working anymore. What should I do? My oral surgeon office is closed today and tomorrow and dont know if i can handle the pain anymore.

Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

I would like to tell you that wisdom tooth extraction is not a simple procedure and often associated with post extraction complications like pain, swelling, prolonged numbness, fever, maliase, difficulty in mouth opening.
Do not worry about the symptoms as they will subside after sometimes.
There could be a chance of some broken root piece or dry socket developed to rule out this you need to visit the concerned Dentist and get the checkup done.
As you cannot see the Dentist right now i would suggset you to take tab Aceclofenac serratiopeptidase combination instead of brufen this will definately subside your pain.
Follow the post operative instructions given by your Dentist properly, use lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses.

Hope this helps out.

Regards..

Hello and welcome to hcm forum,
Post extraction of wisdom tooth is usually painful.
I would advice you to avoid stressful work.
Take complete rest for another 4-5 days.
Rinse your mouth using warm saline and betadine.
Maintain good oral hygiene.
Brush and floos your teeth daily.
aVOID FREQUENT SPITTING of saliva.
Rinse your mouth after every meals.
Take care.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Removal of the wisdom teeth is associated with pain.
Since, one of the tooth was impacted, removal requires an incision and hence the pain.
Pain killers are definitely required.
Besides pain killers a course of antibiotics is also required. I assume that your dentist has prescribed antibiotics.
The pain can also be releived by cold compresses and avoiding hot foods.
If the pain is severe, you need to visit your dentist to rule out an infection.

Thanks and take care.
