Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Ivo Ditah's Response
Hi and hank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear of this pain that you are dealing with. The truth about pain medications is that there is no one single dose that works to the same extend in relieving the pain of different patients. It is also a titration to find the right drug dosage and or combination that perfectly addresses your needs. If your doctor can try you on this alternative and should you get great pain relief, then you can consider to try switch for that. They are not exactly the same medication and so looking at the dosages as simple mg would not be very safe.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services. Dr. Ivo, C.
