Would It Be Safe To Apply Neosporin On The Rashes Having Diagnosed For Shingles And Taking Antiviral Medication?

hello I was diagnosed with shingles on Friday. My doctor gave me an anti viral prescription and a prescription that is supposed to soothe the nerve endings. I am taking the antiviral but not the other one. My question is...would it be ok for me to apply Neosporin on my rash?

Hello,
It is my privilege to be able to help you,
As your history is evident of shingels infection for which your doctor has precribed the medicines for the management of the shingels.
You cannot copletely cure this shingels but progression of the disease can be halt by the medicines which your doctor has prescribed you, definitely application of Neosporin over the rash will keep the area dry and it helps to heal the rashes.
I would sugget you to follow the instructions given by your treating doctor.
Thank you.
