X-ray Shows Spot In Upper Zone. Done Sputum Test. CT Scan Shows Nodules Around Chest. What Is It?
hi sir/mam........ some days ago.i had medical for canada...when i got my xra reports den jst minor spot is shown in the right upper zone..doctr den took my sputum test and sent this report for culture ..after culture report i didn t find aything...nothing found in suptum test, blood test ,afb test, esr test,fungus test,even in culture..but ct scan shows dat some nudles arround the chest...i dnt knw what it is,,,but i m not feeling any problem..i have not took drink,never took smoking,,but dnt know what it is....plz sugest me if u can,,,send me reply on my email id: YYYY@YYYY

Anytime we find nodules in your chest on CT, there is a differential (many different diagnoses) to consider. It seems that your doctors are doing a thorough job testing you for infections including Tuberculosis and fungus. Other diseases that they are likely considering include sarcoidosis, rheumatoid lung, Wegener's granulomatosis, and inhalational diseases. Unfortunately, the diagnosis also includes lymphoma and lung metastases from primary cancer.
It sounds like you are in good hands, make sure you get close follow up. The next step may be more lab work, a follow up CT, or a tissue diagnosis.

The dense spots that were found on the Chest X Ray and nodules on CT should be followed up using FNAC or a biopsy if easily accessible via ultrasound. The pathological report from the sample will be conclusive as to what these lesions are.
Blood tests that may help exclude conditions such as vasculitis, malignancy include: ANA, ANCA and MPO PR3 levels, lymphocyte subsets, ACE levels (not very sensitive) for sarcoidosis.
However, the important test is the histopathlogical analysis from the biopsy.
