Which Hormone Helps In Follicle Rupture And Treatment For PCOS?
Hi, i am 28yrs, have PCOS.Last six months i took tablets for periods regulation(First 3 months OVERALL TABLET and Next 3 months KRIMSON).This month i am undergoing the FOLLICULAR Study.Today is my 20th day and my follicle size is 22*23 mm in right ovary and lside it is 10mm .
My doctor said that if it is not going to rupture on the 22nd day then she will give tablets for bleeding.
she said she will not inject me HCG injection.
My question is why my follicle is not getting ruptured.whether i have to take any special food which helps in rupturing.which harmone helps in follicle rupture?
Follicle rupture is a natural process and it is not regulated by any hormone. Hormones help the eggs to grow to maturity and rupture is spontaneous. We normally expect the egg to be released by the 14day. If it doesn't happen this time, it doesn't mean that this is always the tendency. Patients with PCOS have been show to benefit from metformin. Ask your doctor what he thinks about this! He may want to try you on this medication.
Ii hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be. Thanks for using our services.
