Sore Tongue, Throat, Swollen Glands In Neck. Side Effects Of Quitting Smoking?
hi. i quit smoking about 1 and half months ago and have been very sick every since which i expected. but now the cold/ flu like feeling is gone but i have a very sore tounge and my throat is still sore and the glands in my neck are very swollen. also i still have alot of drainage. are these common that long after quiting? Thank you
Tobacco withdrawal can at times be prolonged and may last for months. However, in your case, I suspect that you are suffering from a throat infection which has added to your distress. Please see your doctor and get yourself evaluated. You may be needing a short course of antibiotics. Till then, try gargling with warm saline water.
