Dr XXXXXXX can HPV be cured from the body? and how long usually it takes?
Brief Answer:
medical or surgical treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for responding. HPV in genital warts can be cured, if not extensively spread and has reached the blood stream.
For genital warts, various topical medicines like imiquimod, podophyllin and trichloracetic acid can be taken under the prescription of a doctor. If not treated by medicine, then warts can be surgically removed.
There is no definite time in which warts heal, but it does take some time like a month or so.
