Brief Answer:
She will have good pain relief

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. Knee replacement is very rewarding surgery and I believe that your mother will be happy after getting it done. Following will be physiotherapy protocol.
1.Walking and knee bending from next day.
2.Stairs form 3 rd day.
3.Dressing on fifth day.
4.Suture removal on 14 th day.
5. Walk with out support on 3rd week.
As far as logic knee replacement is concerned, it is a PCL retaining knee with good results. it has long survivorship. But as my experience suggest there is no difference between various implant. It is surgical technique and condition of knee which matter most.
So if you can tell me where you are getting operated and send me x rays of your mother then I can advise you better.
thanks
