Brief Answer:
Use intrauterine device - effective for 5 yrs.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

You have 8 months baby and want to plan next pregnancy after 4 years. I suggest her to use INTRAUTERINE DEVICE (like COPPER T or MIRENA). It is the best contraceptive method in this scenario. There is NO need to intake regular contraceptive pill and she will get highest protection for next 5 yrs.

Kindly, consult with gynecologist for putting intrauterine device and overall clinical assessment before using the same for long term purpose.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion, if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and take care yourself.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
