How Effective And Safe Is Using Mirena IUD?

I am a 25 year old woman, married, and have two children. I am currently using a mirena IDU for birth control and its getting close to time for it to be removed. I was trying to find another form of birth control, but I am on medication for my blood pressure. I want something I don't have to worry about getting pregnant, but I don't want something permanent. I am young and i don't think I want anymore children, but whose to say I might change my mind several years down the road. What can I use Rx?

Hi,

Looking at your blood pressure, progesterone only contraceptives thinking about possibility of pregnancy estrogen contains contraceptives are contraindicated in your case. For you, copper IUD or barrier contraceptives should be your next choice.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
