Following tests to be done
Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
Thanks for posting your query in hcm.
I am sorry to hear about your first miscarriage.
You may undergo the following blood tests:-
- Blood tests like fasting blood sugar, thyroid profile, antiphospholipid antibodies.
- Check for infections like TORCH group of infections and VDRL test (Syphilis).
- Hysterosalpingography (HSG) to check for any anatomic anomalies
- Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis.
- Genetic testing is done only after multiple miscarriages, so you do not need it now.
You may start with tablet Folic acid 5 mg once a day when you start planing to conceive till the 3rd month of pregnancy. Try to avoid any kind of stress and keep yourself fit and healthy.
If you have any further doubts and clarifications, you may get back to me.
Regards,
Dr. Sonia
How many months should we wait for next planning. And when can these tests be done after miscarriage.
I have got the blood test done for (Blood tests like fasting blood sugar, thyroid profile, antiphospholipid antibodies) : Report attached. Are reports fine or i should get it done again.
no need to repeat
Detailed Answer:
I have gone through your blood reports. They seem to be normal.
You don't have to get them done again.
You can start planning after a gap of 3 months of miscarriage.
Are you married to any of your blood relatives/ 1st cousins (consanginous marraige)? If so, then you may require a genetic testing done.
All the best and have a safe pregnancy.

Dr. Sonia
