Hello.
Welcome. To Healthcare magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.
Now, while drawing any conclusions about development , one should remember the wide variations in normality. Retardation should not be diagnosed or suggested on a single feature. Repeat examination is desirable in any child.
Let me give you an information. The average age of attainment of " standing alone" in a WHO survey was 10.8 months . However the range is from 7.7 to 15.2 months.
The birth weight is absolutely fine.
About the diet , give him
- Breastmilk
- Offer food from the family pot
- Mashed rice with thick lentil, mashed potato
- Offer him banana, biscuits, XXXXXXX
Sit by the child and help him to finish the serving.
Can he speak ? Bisyllables?
Does he wave bye-bye?
No special massaging is required.
Be aware of red flag signs
- Not standing alone by 16 months
- Not walking alone by 18 months
- No single words by 18 months.
Take him for scheduled vaccinations.
Visit a paediatrician. He/she can examine him and correlate clinically.
Hope this helps.
Do not worry.

I was more worried coz he was treated for kawasaki disease at six months.hes still on low dose of aspirin.although, there is no aneurysm.
Should we take extra care of him??
What can we do to encourage him to learn physical milestones?
Regards.
Do not worry. Take care of him like any other child.
Detailed Answer:
It is nice to know that he does wave bye-bye and can utter bisyllables.
I can understand that you are very anxious about him.
I would suggest you to
- Not to worry much.
- Allow him to grow up like any other kid. Take care, give him attention. No extra care is required.
- Be aware of red flag signs I had listed
- Take him to the paediatrician for followups as advised.
Hope this helps.
Post any other question.
