Suggest Remedy For Pain Over The Left Eye That Radiates To Ear And Cheeks
An accurate ENT&eye examination is advised as following...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am sorry for the painful situation your wife is in.
1. You are saying that she is having pain in her left eye and into her ear and down to her left cheek. This painful line is suggesting that she might have some kind of ear inflammation/infection especially if she has had flu-like symptoms recently.
At this point, as the pain is partially subsided by neurofen, I advise to get her further evaluated by her family doctor (who will look into her ear too to see if there is inflammation or infection).
If yes, then, ear drops are necessary to take to subside the pain.
Perhaps a course of other prescription medicines (e.g. antibiotics if infection is present) is needed after an accurate evaluation of her throat, ear, and nasal cavity.
2. If nothing would be found with her ear, then, an accurate examination of her eye by eye doctor (ophtalmologist) is advised.
You are saying that she is taking chloromyetin (I think there is a misspelling here) eye drops. Was it prescribed by her doctor or you took on your own? I highly recommend not to take any eye drops without medical advice.
3. If the pain would get worse or unbearable, and you can't get an immediate appointment with your family doctor, then, should go to ER for immediate evaluation and treatment.
Wish fast recovery!
