Posted on Fri, 18 Jul 2014
Question: I think my husband gave me genital warts but it's going to take two days to get the result back. Is there anyway to treat this condition while I wait for the results and the prescription. I'm sort of in pain right now. Thanks for answering

Brief Answer:
kindly upload pic and reply

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
I have read your query and understood your concern.

For genital warts, various modalities of treatment are available :
1) chemical cauterization using tca
2) electrical cauterization
3) podophyllin
4) imiquimod

But these treatment modalities are advisable to use under medical supervision.

I would like to know about the pain you mentioned.
Usually warts are Asymptomatic unless infected when it can be painful. I would like to know whether there is any discharge from warts?
For how long the warts are present?
Have you underwent any investigation for the same?
Kindly send the pics if possible so that I can help you to my best.
