Could Continued Bleeding After Nose Cauterization Be Scab Coming Out?

I had my nose cauterized Friday 11th March and it has started bleeding again just a little today. I start a new job on Monday and I am concerned that iit may bleed again. Could it just be the scab coming away from the area that was cauterized and it will settle down or should I go back to A& E

Hi,

Yes, this can be the scab coming off the normal healing tissues post cauterization. This is a normal process and may take a few day to a few weeks for complete healing and till then one can have mild bleeding off and on. Surely yes, it is best idea to see a Doctor at A and E to confirm the cause and to see how far the healing has occurred. They can put in nasal pack if required. Use nasal decongestant drops, helps in minor bleeding. If hypertension or so get the blood pressure well controlled and maintained.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
