several days
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your query and history.
I assume that this is your first time with hemiplegic migraine, otherwise it is usually a genetic disorder.
People with hemiplegic migraines experience paralysis or weakness on one side of the body, disturbances in speech and vision, and other symptoms that often mimic a stroke. But this is temporary.
Time for recovering from this is usually from 2 weeks to 2-3 months. You may start speech therapy which will speed up the process.
Hope i have answered your query. Feel free to ask if you have any doubt.

Thank you for answering my question. It makes me feel better knowing all of this won't last forever. I'm very frustrated when I speak. A doctor told me to see a psychologist since all my tests came back normal..I'm relieved this is a psyical condition

speech therapy
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow up.
Good to hear that your tests came back normal. Now you can overcome your problem with speaking. You may require Speech therapy to recover completely. This is a physiological process of recovering from temporary episode of paresis.
