Question: Hello i m a 60 year old male, since last 15 days i m suffering from urine problem. I got my blood checked kidney and lever is normal PSA reading is also normal,after that i went through ultrasound that too came normal residual urine was 24 cc and bladder thickness was 2 mm. Doctor gave me Weltom 0.4 mg tablet once in night. My urine flow seems normal but when i complete it than i had to push it , after that also slight sensation is there.pl guide me what to do. XXXX

Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
At your age , prostate gland enlargement is a common problem, like cataract in the eye.The minimal residual urine of 24cc is nothing to worry about.The Veltam 0.4mg tablet is usually the first treatment started by majority of Urologists.Gradually, you'll find that the urine flow will normalise and you won't have to strain.If your flowrate test was done ,prior to starting the treatment, you'll find the difference in a months' time.
