Suggest Treatment For Restless Leg Syndrome
Question: Hello Dr. XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
I would like to consult with you on another issue that has been a quality-of-life issue for me. I've been diagnosed as having restless leg syndrome.
It has effected my sleeping and I have been to a sleep clinic and now have a CPAP machine. It has helped but I still have other symptoms. If you
are familiar with the problem I could log back in and avail myself of your knowledge?

I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern.
Sleepless leg syndrome is a neurological disorder, it is treated by gabapentin enacarbil which is metabolised in body to become gabapentin. Good short term treatment with levodopa plus carbidopa has been reported. Alprazolam is helpful in restful sleep and reduce anxiety ,muscle spasms and insomnia.But in your case this drug may induce sleep apnea as you are using already have CPAP machine, so it should be used with care in your case. You should consult neurologist or psychiatrist for restless leg syndrome.
You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
