Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description, you are referring to the ankle joint. Its most likely an sprained ankle. Local ibuprofen cream application along with NSAIDs can be advised. If the renal function is impaired then NSAIDs should be avoided and paracetamol or Tylenol can be advised. If the joint is red, hot, tender then aspiration should be done to rule out septic arthritis.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
