What Causes A Black Spot On The Thigh After A Tick Bite?

Question: Ii have a tick on my thigh for 2 days. on Monday I felt something. I looked with a mirror and I saw something black inside my skin. I used alcohol and I removed a tcik. The tick was white color and I saw no XXXXXXX on the ticks. I have cancer and I am afraid to get lyme desease. The opening is closing. what should I do? Todat is wednesdy.

Instead of worrying about Lyme disease you can meet your local GP against low dose antibiotic prophylaxis against Lyme disease. Your worry can be a serious problem than actual events.
you can still take if you have cancer.

Hi,

Low dose is recommended before the full blow symptoms set in. If not you can wait till the symptoms set in and get the full dose. The latter option is also fine.

The presentation of Lyme is delayed hence could not find symptoms sooner. Not all ticks carry the parasite that cause the Lymes, which is just a chance.
