Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
As the uterus grows and the baby grows bigger, the muscles of the tummy stretch and grow, leading to mild pain and discomfort.
The exertion around Diwali could easily have caused that.
Do not worry.
IF the pain becomes severe and persistent, please consult your obstetrician and have a check up and ultrasound scan.
Else just rest and keep lying most of the time for a couple of days.
Take lots of fluids to avoid dehydration.
All the best.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Hello Doctor, I have one more query. My gynecologist told me not to take any post delivery eatables like gond(eatable gum) and carom(ajwain) medicines. But my mother wants me to take this, she says they are good for uterus strength. Is there any specific reason not to take it? Is it harmful as I might want to conceive again after 3 months. Please suggest can I take them and why they are medically not advised.
Brief Answer:
As below
Detailed Answer:
There is no need to take all those eatables since there is no proof that they have any effect on uterus strength.
If you want you may take them, they will not harm you either.
They are just food items, and will be digested, they will not harm you or benefit you, you can take if you wish.
The tummy belt can be used for 6 weeks post delivery.
Take care.

Doctor, This is my 6th day of miscarriage. But I am still feeling cramps below abdomen and lower back. Though they are not severe so I did not take any pain killer. Also bleeding is not reducing instead i feel like its increasing(1 pad a day). I cannot see clots but thick gel like blood. Also having little body-ache and changes in temperature.. ie sometimes fever like and sometimes sweat. Is this all normal after miscarriage or something serious? What shall I do?
Brief Answer:
As below
Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Yes the symptoms are normal.
Some amount of bleeding is normal for upto fifteen days after a miscarriage.
You may get an ultrasound scan after a few more days to confirm that the miscarriage was complete.
Take care
