Brief Answer:
Possible anxiety/nightmares but some tests are recommended.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Bedwetting in adults is not common and requires attention. Some common causes may include: diabetes, urinary infection or stones, sleep apnea, some neurological conditions (normal pressure hydrocephalus, frontal tumor, spinal issues) etc. However in most cases all these conditions have other signs or symptoms as well, not only isolated bedwetting. Also the fact it is only sporadically speaks against them as in the meantime they would've evolved, would be more frequent.

So another possible cause may be anxiety and nightmares which would be more probable if the patient has no other symptoms and the episodes have this distribution in time.

However a physical and neurological exam as well as urine analysis are recommended to check for other signs which might have been missed.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
