What Causes Hard Crusty Circles On Scalp?

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I would keep a possibility of Seborrheic Dermatitis of the scalp with Secondary Infection (oozing, crusting etc)
As a treating doctor I would have recommended a course of an oral antibiotic. My choice of oral antibiotic would have been Amoxycillin 500mg in combination with clavulanic acid 125 mg, thrice daily, for a week OR Cephalexin 500ng thrice daily OR Cefadroxil 500mg twice daily, for a week.
This would take care of the infection (Oozing and Crusts).
Oiling of the scalp is not advisable because it would encourage infection.
I would also suggest you to use a cetrimide 5% solution for scalp wash, it would loosen all the adherent crusts and sticky, greasy discharge. Cetrimide being antiseptic in nature and therefore itself helps with the scalp infection.
OR
You may also use an OTC ketoconazole based shampoo e.g Nizral solution (2% ketoconazole) for shampoo
It is advisable to wash your scalp daily and keep it as clean as possible..
