What Causes Irregular Bleeding With Chronic Lower Back Pain?
Question: I have 6 small rock hard bumps I think are swollen lymph nodes (google "research") on each side of my groin. I have had irregular bleeding and break through bleeding a lot. And I have chronic lower back and groin pain. Nothing that keeps me bed bound by any means. Just painful and annoying. I don't have insurance and will not until September of this year. I have the paraguard in and have had carcinoma in situ removed from my cervix 3 years ago. Could it be the paraguard causing problems or should I risk going in now and paying huge medical bills because I am over reacting? I know it is being over dramatic thinking it could be cancer, I am 29 with three small children, I don't want to be wrong either.
Brief Answer:
AS BELOW
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
With a history of carcinoma cervix, you cannot ignore this.
The combination of possible nodes and irregular bleeding warrants looking into.
A gynaecological evaluation is a must.
An internal exam plus a smear and pelvic ultrasound scan should be done.
NO way do I mean to scare you, but it is my duty to remind you that a heavy medical XXXXXXX is a small price to pay for possible negligence of a recurrence.
All the best
Please feel free to discuss further.

If by some chance it is cervical cancer, that is a super slow growing cancer. Would you think that it could wait until September? It wouldn't move that fast could it? I have been trying to get things payed off to buy a house and don't want to upset my fiancé by adding more medical bills. I am really not trying to be difficult
Brief Answer:
DONT WAIT IF POSSIBLE.
Detailed Answer:
I hope its not cervical cancer , but I want you to have a look just in case, given the ominous history.
I empathize with you totally, but why let the growth ( if it is there ) increase in size, however miniscule the increase might be ?
Not all kinds of cervical cancers are super slow growing types, it depends on the histopathological type of cancer present.
If possible, please manage the mandatory visit and the cervical smear, would that too entail a huge medical XXXXXXX ?
As its not a procedure you want, just a simple consultation !
I know you are not being difficult, and even I am not trying to preach from a pedestal, but all said and done, September is still 5 months away, and I do not think you should wait.
Take care.
