What Causes Low Hemoglobin Count, Weight Loss And Night Sweats?
Hi Can you upload your complete blood report here and photo of bruise
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I did review your concern mam.
Your drop in hemoglobin is significant.
Since your platelets are normal the bruising can be related to vessel problem or due problem in your coagulation or defect in patelet function.
With weight loss and night sweats these findings are worrisome for a bone marrow process.
It can range from a anemia due to any cause ( less likely iron deficiency anemia as transferrin sat is normal) like hemolysis or chronic myeloproliferative lesions like CML, myelofibrosis and so on. Also the marrow can be infiltrated by other cells like tuberculous infection or unwanted cells from other organs.
For a better picture, A bone marrow study is needed which I am sure you will be getting done with the hematology consult.
But if you can send the blood report with a morphological view of peripheral blood and also a photo of bruise I can analyse and may be give you more things that can be possible.
If you cannot upload it here you can send it to YYYY@YYYY with Sub: ATTN 'Dr Parth XXXXXXX Desai'
and I will get it soon.
I hope this helps.
Waiting for your reports.
Let me know if you have any more questions or concerns and also provide me feedback of your health.
Wish you all the best mam.
Sincerely,
Dr Parth Desai
