What Causes Nose Bleeding And Dryness In Nose?
Question: Hi..i am Bleeding from nose for last 3 days. Also, there is dryness in nose due to blood clot. Not sure of why there is bleeding. Can you suggest some medication or home remedy for this?

Welcome to HCM.
Nose bleeding generally could be due to simple causes like injury due to nose-picking, common cold, allergy and even excessive dryness of nasal mucosa.
Or rarely , it may be due to some blood disorders, or drugs induced or high BP etc
If your nose bleeds again , pinch the nose tight for 5 to 10 minutes and to breathe from the mouth during that time.
You may also put an ice pack around the nose and sit with your head leaning backwards.
Do not bend forwards. You can also use a decongestant nasal spray.This will help to stop the bleeding.
Remember, don't pick nose, if you try to remove the clots , there may be raw surface area underneath which will cause it to bleed more. Drink a lot of water , keep yourself well hydrated .
Further, I would suggest you to approach the ER if the bleeding is not stopping, it will require nasal packing to control the bleeding or drugs like Botroclot 4 drops into the nasal cavity also helps in stoppage of the bleeding.
So consult an ENT specialist.
