What Causes Obstructive Voiding Symptoms And Dark Urine?

Question: hi my father is 67 year old he is having severe asthma since last 10 15 years around 3 4 month he is making so much effort to pass the urine even he is making sound while passing urine seems like he is pushing for passing urine and his urine is dark yellow. i just had some blood test of him please check. why his egfr rate in kidney is so increased.

Thanks for query ,
Based on the obstructive voiding symptoms and reports of your father(Reduced GFR 48 and raised Serum Creatinine levels 1.5 ) that you have posted your father seems to have Renal Dysfunction secondary to Enlarged Prostate which needs to be confirmed .

Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis with post void residual urine (PVR)
3) Serum PSA.
4) Uroflowmetry

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
