What Causes Radiating Pain In The Lower Back Post Injury?
Question: I had a mole develop on right buttocks. Had an injury in that area and pain in mole. It subsided for a few weeks but now recurred. Mole does not look agitated or irregular. Pain now muscle of buttocks one same side as mole. I have low back pain on same side that is radiating into muscle. Does this require further investigation or does it sound sciatica

Generally injury in this area can cause fracture (spine fracture as well), hematoma or nerve contusion.
Which of this mentioned possibilities is the reason of the pain is very important for the type of treatment you need.
Hematoma, located deep in the muscles can be invisible from the outside. It can also be the reason of pain and nerve compression. That is why, I suggest you to consult your doctor with it.
X-rays should be done to rule out possible fractures and soft tissues ultrasound to make sure there is no hematoma.
Mole seems to be the additional issue. If it does not change in any known way, you can leave it alone and have an eye on it.
