What Causes Random Nose Bleeds With Dizziness And Fatigue?

default
Posted on Mon, 27 Oct 2014
Question: Hi, my name is XXXXXXX and a few days ago I started experiencing random nose bleeds accompanied with headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. I thought it was just allergies but then my esophagus started to swell up (at least I think that's what happened, it hurts to breath and swallow anything, even soup, and it feels smaller/tighter, but when I clear my throat or cough it doesn't hurt at all. Then my neck began to give a me some trouble (but it could be the way I sleep). One of my professors told me the the lymph nodes in my neck were swollen yesterday, but I don't have time to go to the doctors. I've been taking XXXXXXX seltzer, allergy medications, mucinex (the 12 hour one), and cough drops, but every morning I wake up for school I feel worse. Please help me.

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

The main concern for me is that you might have some type of abnormality with your blood which is contributing to these frequent nosebleeds.

Also we want to take a look at how much aspirin you're taking on a daily basis.aspirin can affect how well your platelets function and can cause increased episodes of bleeding.

In light of the persistent nature of your symptoms however, I recommend that you report to your local doctor or local emergency room immediately for evaluation. This evaluation will include a good physical examination and possibly some laboratory studies to help figure out if you have some increased predisposition to bleeding.

I realize you're busy with school and other commitments but right now I think you need to make your health the greatest priority.

Thanks again for sending your question. Please let us know if you have any additional specific concerns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
